      Guidelines for capturing your hair regrowth journey via photographs and videos

      To help capture the best possible before-and-after photos or videos, we’ve put together some simple guidelines:

      1. CHOOSE THE RIGHT SETTING

      • Lighting: Use natural daylight if possible – standing by a window is ideal. Good lighting makes a big difference in showcasing your results clearly.
      • Background: Choose a simple, uncluttered background to avoid distractions – a neutral setting.
      • Consistency: Try to use the same location, lighting, and time of day for both before & after shots to highlight any changes more accurately

      2. CAMERA POSTION & ANGLES

      • Distance: Keep the camera at a similar distance each time – close enough to show hair texture and detail but far enough to see the full hairline or scalp
      • Multiple Angles: Capture a few different angles: front, side, back and top-down views to show all aspects of your hair
      • Steady: Hold the camera or phone steady to avoid blurry images. You can also use a tripod, prop your phone or have someone help you.

      3. CONSISTENCY OF APPEARANCE

      • Same Hairstyle: Keep your hair styled the same way in both before and after shots (ex. always short, or hair parted the same way, or always down.)

      4. NO FILTERS OR EDITING

      • Natural is Best: Please avoid using filters or editing the images, as we want the most genuine results.

      5. DOCUMENT THE TIMELINE

      • Time & Date: Note the dates when each photo or video is taken to show your progress over time. If possible, label your photo or video files with the date taken to help us track and showcase progress over time.
      • Regular Check-Ins: Take progress photos/videos at consistent intervals – every month or every few months.

      6. HIGH RESOLUTION

      • Clear Images/Videos: If possible, use the highest resolution setting on your camera or smartphone.
      • Clean Lens: Wipe your camera lens before capturing to ensure clarity

      7. VIDEO SPECIFIC TIPS

      • Keep it Short: Aim for 30-60 second video
      • Steady Recording: Hold the camera steady of use a stand
      • Clear Audio: If speaking, ensure you’re in a quite environment – reduce background noise.

        • Supported File Size: 10MB or smaller
      • Video Formats

          • Flash Video (FLV and F4V)
          • Microsoft Windows Formats (AVI, ASF, WMV, and VMA)
          • MPEG-1/2 (MPG, M1V, M2V, MP3)
          • WAV
          • Matroska (MKV)
          • OGG OGM & OGV
          • WEBM
          • 3GP
          • RM
          • Webex (ARF)
          • MXF
        • Supported File Size: 2GB or smaller
        • Supported Video Length: 120min by default.
        • Supported video length can be adjusted from within the Visual Reviews setting page
        • Default: 10 video uploads per review

      9. PRIVACY, CONSENT & SHARING

      • Face & Identity: If you’re not comfortable showing your face, you can crop the photos to focus on your hair. We can keep your identity anonymous or only use your first name and initial – let us know how you’d like to be credited.
      • Share Your Story: Feel free to include a brief testimonial about your experience
      • Permission: By submitting, you’re allowing us to use these photos/videos for promotional and marketing purposes in exchange for a credit value towards your next purchase. We may feature them on our website, social media, or email campaigns.
